The Construction Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects, providing technical and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager with pre‑construction, construction, and closeout activities
Prepare and distribute plans and specs
Handle all permitting requests, payment, and closeouts
Support field foremen requests
Issue and organize RFI’s, track submittals, and manage meeting minutes
Assemble closeout documentation and as-builts
Coordinate and participate in project site walks
Coordinate design/engineering reviews as directed
Assist in coordinating BIM and layout information for field teams
Learn how to read plans and specs
Become proficient in basics of mechanical systems
Support project scheduling efforts, including developing and updating project timelines
Assist with safety documentation, progress tracking, punch list resolution, and commissioning support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field required
Minimum of 1 year construction experience
Solid understanding of mechanical systems
Must possess valid driver's license and meet driving record requirements in accordance with company policy
Preferred
Experience in construction industry as PE or related role preferred
Experience with Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred
Proficient in software applications including MS 365 (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent time management and administrative skills
Highly organized and meticulous
Collaborator with a positive attitude
Flexible and able to prioritize deadline-driven projects
Problem-solver and initiative-taking
Ability to build relationships and work with diverse personalities
