Responsibilities

Serve as the go-to technical expert for mechanical and electrical assembly issues
Collaborate with engineering teams on new designs, prototypes, and process improvements
Take lead on high-mix, low-volume complex builds and non-standard assemblies
Lead root cause analysis of assembly-related defects and develop corrective actions
Perform advanced soldering (e.g., fine pitch, coaxial cable termination, PCB rework)
Champion adherence to IPC standards and conduct internal audits or checks if certified
Coordinate training and onboarding for Levels 1 and 2; may support performance evaluations
Suggest and implement process or tool improvements that reduce build times or improve quality
Maintain compliance and drive best practices in ESD, safety, and ergonomic practices
Participate in root cause analysis of assembly-related defects and work with engineering to develop corrective actions
Perform advanced soldering and complex reworks (e.g., fine pitch, PCB rework, test cables)

Required

5+ years experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly roles
Must be fluent in written English
IPC J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications required

Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status
