Network Engineer

Security & Investigations

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and network components
Build and configure physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and security
Perform server migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime
Deploy and manage cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS and Google Cloud is a plus)
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and scalability
Support Microsoft core business applications (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, RDS/Terminal Services)
Implement and maintain remote access solutions (VPN, Citrix, Terminal Services)
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and knowledge base articles
Support disaster recovery strategies, including server imaging and automated offsite backups
Provide guidance and technical support to junior team members
Ensure accurate ticket documentation for service issues and projects
Proven experience in server builds, migrations, and virtualization
Build and maintain positive, meaningful relationships with clients
Collaborate effectively within a team environment
Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
Align with company core values and adopt established systems and solutions
Demonstrate professionalism by consistently doing what is right
Pursue continual self-improvement and relevant IT certifications
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical challenges
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients
Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures
Maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed
Adhere to Change Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, and Service Management practices
Commit to ongoing technical development
Be available for occasional after-hours work for projects and emergencies
