Field Network Support Technician

Insight is seeking a Field Network Support Technician to support clients across the Phoenix area. This role requires daily travel to different customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware, cabling, and workstation systems.

Responsibilities

Travel to multiple client sites across the Phoenix area each day

Install, repair, and test hardware, peripherals, and system components

Diagnose workstation hardware and software issues

Install, pull, terminate, and label Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, coax, and fiber cabling

Terminate patch panels, outlets, and 110/66 blocks; perform fiber terminations

Install and configure switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPN devices

Assist with network closet audits, cleanups, and documentation

Provide onsite and remote support using remote troubleshooting tools

Complete service documentation, technical notes, and vendor part-return paperwork

Required

Experience with LAN/WAN environments, PCs, and major operating systems

Hands-on structured cabling experience (copper and/or fiber)

Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues

Experience installing or configuring switches, routers, and wireless devices

Strong documentation and customer service skills

Ability to work independently at multiple sites daily

Comfortable disassembling and reassembling hardware

Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

Preferred

Basic scripting skills preferred (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
