Systems Manager - Enterprise Data & Analytics / AI Business Transformation

Con Edison is seeking a Systems Manager to lead their AI Business Transformation function within the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization. This role is crucial for architecting transformation visions for business units and driving AI solutions that deliver measurable value to the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Lead a team responsible for transformation strategy, including direct staff and strategic partner engagements
Architect large-scale transformation visions for each business unit, identifying opportunities for wholesale business process redesign enabled by AI
Lead outside-in benchmarking efforts to identify industry best practices, emerging capabilities, and strategic opportunities for AI-enabled transformation
Drive business process mapping to document current state operations, identify automation and AI opportunities, and inform use case prioritization
Lead customer and user journey mapping to understand stakeholder pain points and ensure AI solutions deliver intuitive end-to-end experiences
Drive product design standards for AI solutions, ensuring user-centered design principles are embedded from discovery through deployment
Develop high-level sequencing and sorting of use cases into cohesive program families with clear interdependency mapping
Implement and manage the value framework for AI investments, including business case development, benefits tracking, and ROI measurement
Lead enterprise change management for AI adoption, including organizational readiness assessment, capability building, and resistance management
Partner with business units to develop transformation roadmaps that align AI capabilities with strategic business objectives
Conduct impact assessments to understand how AI solutions will affect existing processes, roles, and organizational structures
Manage strategic partner relationships, scoping engagements, and ensuring quality delivery from external consultants
Develop and deliver executive communications on transformation progress, value realization, and strategic recommendations
Facilitate cross-functional alignment on transformation priorities and sequencing across the AI portfolio
Monitor and report on transformation outcomes, identifying lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement
Foster collaboration between transformation, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of change initiatives
Champion a proactive, customer-centric culture that builds trust, enhances engagement, and creates value for stakeholders

Required

Master's Degree and a minimum of 7 years full-time relevant work experience
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years full-time relevant work experience
Demonstrated experience leading business transformation or change management initiatives
Proven experience with business process mapping, reengineering, or operational improvement
Experience with user experience design, journey mapping, or product design methodologies
Experience developing roadmaps and value realization frameworks
Track record of driving measurable business outcomes through technology-enabled change
Experience with executive-level stakeholder management and strategic communications
Experience managing consulting firm engagements and strategic partnerships
Demonstrated ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, and technologies
Proven experience in budget and procurement management
Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
Experience with AI/ML initiatives and data-driven transformation
Ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable delivery plans
Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent collaboration and team building skills
Ability to lead/manage others

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related business or technology aligned field and a minimum of 7 years full-time relevant work experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related business or technology aligned field and a minimum of 9 years full-time relevant work experience
Familiarity with utilities, energy, or regulated industries
