Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of large and mid-sized capital construction sourcing projects, including sourcing and contracting strategy
Lead end-to-end sourcing: RFP development, e-sourcing (eRFX), bid analysis, award recommendations, negotiation, and contract execution
Manage and lead RFP processes for capital services and capital equipment, including:
Construction management
Design/engineering (A/E) services
Automation integration
Commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV)
General and trade contractors
Serve as procurement process and systems expert, ensuring compliance with global sourcing policies and procedures
Act as contracting lead using tools such as Ariba (required), Scout, and Sirion (template selection, authoring, negotiation, execution, and ongoing contract management)
Develop and maintain project sourcing plans as living documents throughout the project lifecycle
Manage commercial relationships and serve as liaison between project delivery teams and suppliers
Support dispute, claim, and change order resolution with project and project controls managers
Partner cross-functionally to ensure timelines, requirements, and business needs are met without disruption
Support savings delivery and validation in alignment with Global Category Managers
Manage sourcing projects aligned to business goals and project timelines
Run full RFP cycles including technical and commercial analysis, award recommendation, negotiation, and execution
Support contract lifecycle activities, including amendments, renewals, and renegotiations
Ensure procurement compliance metrics are met through proper contracting and purchase order processes
Partner with Finance and functional leaders to support savings delivery and reporting
Qualification
Required
Capital projects sourcing experience using e-tools (Ariba required; Scout and Sirion strongly preferred)
Ability to manage a portfolio of projects independently with minimal oversight
Proven collaboration and stakeholder management in cross-functional environments
5+ years of hands-on capital construction procurement experience supporting competitive RFPs and project delivery teams
Demonstrated success operating in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities
Strong understanding of commercial structures, contract negotiation, and contracting execution
Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and ability to influence business partners
Ability to lead sourcing workstreams with minimal supervision and high accountability
Preferred
Combination of sourcing, contracting, and project management experience
6+ years as a sourcing or procurement lead supporting multiple project delivery teams
Broad understanding of construction market forces, supplier base, and regulatory context
Experience supporting capital construction within biotech/pharma manufacturing environments
Experience working in or supporting facilities operating 24/7
