New GradGuideStar Eldercare is offering a multi-dimensional, outpatient geriatric psychology post-doctoral fellowship focused on dementia and neurocognitive disorders. The role involves providing behavioral health and neuro-cognitive services to residents of long-term care facilities, with a strong emphasis on evaluation and therapy for geriatric patients.

Responsibilities
Provide evaluation
Establish different diagnosis, i.e. Alzheimer’s vs. Parkinson’s vs. Vascular Cognitive Assessment
Provide condition-specific support therapy, or when indicated, insight-based therapy
Coordinate the patient’s care plan with the facility, PCP and GuideStar colleagues, and to engage with the family as indicated
Qualification
Required
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Experience or interest in geriatric psychology, health psychology, and/or neuropsychology
Willingness to work with an atypical geropsychiatric population
Ability to provide evaluation and establish different diagnoses, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Vascular Cognitive Assessment
Capability to provide condition-specific support therapy or insight-based therapy when indicated
Experience in coordinating patient care plans with facilities, PCPs, and colleagues
Flexibility and willingness to accept challenges in medical and behavioral health settings
