Responsibilities

Contribute to an NIH-funded project through a range of activities, including data collection and management, data analysis, and leading or co-authoring scholarly manuscripts
Areas of focus may include health communication, mobile health interventions, clinical trial recruitment, and quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis
Demonstrate experience working in interdisciplinary teams, clinical trial recruitment and familiarity with health research methodologies
Community outreach and engagement
Recruitment and dissemination science
Reducing cancer disparities
E-health technologies (e.g., patient portals, virtual humans)
Grant writing and publication
Use of unique and innovative data sources

Qualification

Required

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in either health communication, communication science, computer science, public health, psychology, or related discipline
Candidates should demonstrate experience working in interdisciplinary teams
Candidates should demonstrate experience in clinical trial recruitment
Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with health research methodologies
Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications
Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic
