Responsibilities

Provide support across HR topics such as employment practices, compliance, performance management, employee relations, training, workplace issues, and employee engagement
Proactively research, develop, revise, and recommend HR best practices, policies, and procedures
Support end-to-end onboarding, ensuring consistent and transparent communication between new hires, hiring leaders, talent acquisition, and other stakeholders
Coordinate new-hire paperwork and onboarding items, ensuring legal and Firm compliance and timely completion
Assist with benefits administration and enrollment, including medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability
Serve as a liaison between employees, broker, and providers to resolve general benefit questions
Process enrollments for new hires, open enrollment, and terminations/COBRA
Support day-to-day HR operations, including file maintenance, database updates, tracking and distribution of evaluations, and other HR needs
Respond to employee and leader inquiries with accurate guidance based on Firm policy language and intent, as well as state and federal employment laws
Maintain accurate records within the HRIS; query, audit, and compile reports as needed
Recommend and support process improvements to strengthen efficiency and customer service
Participate in the development of HR department goals, objectives, and processes

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of HR experience (or related field) with a solid understanding of HR functions and best practices
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
Ability to manage multiple priorities proactively, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to draft policies, procedures, business correspondence, and reports
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
High computer proficiency, including email, MS Office, HRIS, (UKG preferred) and related business/communication tools
