They are seeking a Manager of Information Technology Infrastructure to plan, manage, and oversee college-approved IT applications and infrastructure that support the College’s mission and operational objectives.

Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee college-approved information technology applications and infrastructure required to support the College’s mission and operational objectives
Serve as the primary liaison between Brightpoint Community College and the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) for enterprise applications and related technology services
Function as a project implementation manager responsible for software development initiatives, system implementations and adoption, infrastructure installations and upgrades, and other technology-related changes
Accountable for database services, application and web development, systems analysis, networking, and server infrastructure
Supervise and manage assigned staff, including performance management, professional development, and identification of training needs
Ensure the development, maintenance, and enforcement of applicable procedures, standards, and guidelines to support consistent and effective service delivery
Perform other related duties as assigned
Lead by example and actively contribute to technical work as needed to support institutional goals

Working considerable knowledge of system analysis and design
Networking concepts and best practices
Server and storage concepts and best practices
LAN and WAN technologies
Server and storage technologies
Advanced network configuration and firewall technologies
Vulnerability management solutions
Active Directory
VMware and Virtualization technologies
Demonstrated skill in all areas listed under Working Considerable Knowledge
Timeline development and management
Budget development
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of management
Outstanding oral/written communication
Demonstrated ability to develop enterprise architecture and strategies
Apply appropriate change management methodologies
Prioritize and work under the pressure of multiple demands while meeting/exceeding deadlines
Prioritize and define architectural and infrastructure needs to meet the mission and goals of Brightpoint Community College
Lifecycle management for enterprise IT assets
Manage customer expectations
Learn new methodologies and appropriate applications
Provide direct supervision for highly skilled staff
Understand a highly technical and complex work environment, and plan accordingly

Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or related field or any equivalent training and experience
