Responsibilities
Provide leadership for the CDL Program
Participate in curriculum development, revision, and implementation process
Provide face to face product knowledge training to Admissions or student groups
Engage with potential students and participate in new student orientation
Hire, assign, orient, develop, evaluate, and recognize instructors within the program(s) of study
Monitor and support the student population within the program of study
Advise students during the provisional period and consult with students whose engagement and/or academic progress is in question
Analyze student population data and identify students who may be at risk
Collect data for purposes of analyzing program performance
Share program performance data and feedback with the Academic team for continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Industry license in field of instruction if required by industry
3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
5 years of commercial driving industry experience
5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
Excellent customer service skills
Requires up to 100% travel
Preferred
7 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment
10 years of experience in the field of commercial driving
Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
7 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
Previous experience as an academic program director
Experience in student guidance, or related field
Working knowledge of federal/state government education regulations
