USDA-ARS Postharvest Research Fellowship
The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education is offering a research fellowship with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) focused on postharvest research. The selected candidate will engage in research to identify and quantify agrochemicals in horticultural commodities using advanced analytical chemistry techniques.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Become familiar with the collection, extraction and analysis of horticultural samples
Develop skills in the following techniques: QuEChERs, SPE, and SPME
Be trained in the following analytical technologies: LC-MS, GC-MS, CE and TXRF
Learn how to perform basic statistical analyses and summarize data sets
Learn about conducting research on the post-harvest of horticultural commodities
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or have received a bachelor's degree in one of the relevant fields
U.S. Citizen Only
Degree: Bachelor's Degree
