Hardware Electronic Design Engineer
Stellantis is a leading automotive company, and they are seeking a Hardware Electronic Design Engineer to oversee the development and production of high-performance computing (HPC) hardware platforms. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful design, specification, and validation of automotive electronic systems.

Responsibilities
Actively steer the development, launch, and production of HPC, overseeing all steps of the process and working closely with the HPC Project Management team, Hardware Platform Design (HWP) team, SW Development team, Product Validation (DV/PV) team, and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) suppliers
Contribute to the specification and design of HPC boards for automotive systems
Work with internal customers to understand and specify application requirements and deliverables, including Product Functional (PF) specifications, Hardware-Software interface specifications (HSIS), and Functional Safety
Supports in investigating scalable architecture alternatives and development paths for HPC Hardware platforms
Support to establish scalability, cost, size, weight, power, performance, safety, and schedule requirements for next-generation hardware platforms
Support the HW implementation of Cyber Security and Functional Safety requirements of HPC
Leads to create Quality Benchmarks and Standards; provides technical perspective and expertise in terms of quality standards for internal technical teams, critical suppliers, and partners
Provide HW technical support for Design/Product Validation (DV/PV), working closely with STLA Product Validation (DV/PV) team, and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) suppliers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
8 years of overall experience
1 year of experience in Circuit simulations, Circuit Worst Case Analysis
1 year of experience creating Hardware-Software Interface Specifications (HSIS)
1 year of experience with Schematic Capture software and eBOM variant handling. Preferred with Altium Design
1 year of experience on D-FMEA
Hands-On and Industry Relevant Experience in electronic hardware development in Automotive
Strong knowledge of Analog and Digital design (Power Management ICs, MCU, digital logics, FPGA, SOC, DDR, UFS, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, CSI, DP, LVDS, TDM, etc)
Experience with supporting HW component validation (Electrical, EMC, ESD, Environmental)
EE design experience. The HW Development engineer is expected to be able to analyze schematics, analyze datasheets/user manuals, comprehend processor architecture, memory options and Automotive ICs, comprehend electrical I/O, comprehend automotive networks (CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, USB, PCIe, …), analyze log files/traces
Hands-on Hardware testing experiences using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators
Familiar with Automotive industry standards for electronics (including automotive EMC/EMI and Environmental Test Standards), design factors of safety, and product verification is desired
Strong teamwork and excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Advanced degree in Electronics engineering
Experience with Hardware Development for Automotive products on Tier 1 or Tier 2
Experience designing electronics that operate from -40°C to +105°C ambient temperature
Knowledge of applicable safety standards, including ISO 26262
Solid understanding of system/component design
Solid understanding of ETH/CAN-FD/LIN/LVDS/USB/PCIe/CSI/DP/TDM communication protocols and troubleshooting tools
