Chief Information Officer
Xponential Fitness, LLC is a leading global franchisor of health and wellness brands. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for enterprise-wide technology strategy, operational reliability, cybersecurity, and digital enablement across a complex, multi-brand, franchise-driven ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO, CFO, brand presidents, and functional leaders to enable growth, margin expansion, and operational efficiency through technology
Translate business strategy into technology roadmaps that support franchise development, studio operations, member engagement, and digital commerce
Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes, ROI, and shareholder value
Own end-to-end IT operations, ensuring high availability, performance, reliability, and support of all enterprise, brand, and studio systems
Establish and maintain best-in-class service management, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities
Define operational KPIs, SLAs, and governance to ensure consistent, predictable delivery in a distributed, always-on studio environment
Lead modernization of legacy systems while ensuring operational stability during transformation
Oversee the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of all enterprise applications, digital platforms, and studio-level technologies, including: POS, payments, and membership systems; Scheduling, booking, and CRM platforms; Mobile apps and digital member experiences; Marketing, loyalty, and customer engagement platforms; Franchisee tools, learning systems, and operational dashboards
Ensure seamless integration across brands while enabling brand-specific differentiation
Partner with operations and franchisees to ensure studio technology is intuitive, reliable, and scalable globally
Establish and own the enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy, enabling data driven decision-making across brands and functions
Build a trusted, governed data platform providing real-time insights into studio performance, member behavior, pricing, marketing effectiveness, and franchise health
Leverage advanced analytics and AI to improve forecasting, personalization, operational efficiency, and customer experience
Ensure data quality, governance, and ethical use aligned with public-company standards
Own the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, protecting company, franchisee, and member data across all systems and endpoints
Establish strong cyber risk management, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response capabilities
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards (e.g., SEC expectations, SOX IT controls, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy laws)
Partner closely with Legal, Finance, and Internal Audit to support audit readiness, risk assessments, and board-level reporting
Develop and manage the enterprise IT budget with discipline, transparency, and strong cost controls
Oversee vendor strategy, sourcing, and contract negotiations to ensure performance, scalability, and value
Establish IT governance frameworks aligned with public-company controls, change management, and risk mitigation
Regularly communicate technology performance, risk posture, and investment priorities to the executive team and Board of Directors
Build, lead, and retain a high-performing IT organization spanning operations, applications, security, data, and innovation
Foster a culture of accountability, service orientation, continuous improvement, and collaboration with business stakeholders
Ensure succession planning and talent development for critical technology roles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior executive roles in public companies
Proven experience supporting multi-unit, franchise, retail, hospitality, or consumer-facing businesses at scale
Demonstrated success balancing operational stability with digital transformation
Deep expertise in IT operations, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, data & analytics, and cybersecurity
Strong understanding of SOX IT controls, SEC expectations, audit processes, and enterprise risk management
Exceptional leadership, communication, and board-level presentation skills
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree
