Responsibilities
Bill out and post new and used car deals
Maintain a heat sheet for CIT, Money due and problem deals
Perform various accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
Accounts receivable: Process customer payments, prepare and send invoices, and resolve payment discrepancies
Bank reconciliation: Match transactions and balances between bank statements and company records
General ledger reconciliation: Ensure accuracy of financial data by reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
Balance sheet reconciliation: Review and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Financial auditing: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support
Utilize accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data
Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards (e.g., SOX compliance)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
Previous experience in accounting or related field
Knowledge of Reynolds & Reynolds Ignite
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures
Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements
Ability to perform bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is a plus
Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
New Car Dealership Deal Desking: 2 years (Required)
Preferred
Familiarity with financial auditing processes is preferred
Ability to Commute: Laurel, MD 20724 (Preferred)
