Responsibilities
Design and deploy enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructures across operational sites
Lead core network refresh projects (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless)
Architect highly available solutions using vPC, HSRP, VRRR, GLBP, dynamic routing, SD-WAN
Design and manage hybrid cloud networking in Azure and AWS (ExpressRoute, VPCs, transit gateways, peering)
Optimize routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and configure firewall/VPN infrastructure
Monitor network health, perform root cause analysis, participate in on-call rotations
Partner with stakeholders to translate technical solutions into business impact
Qualification
Required
10+ years enterprise network engineering experience
Cisco CCNP (required or strongly preferred) + CCNA (required)
Deep expertise in routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, data center technologies
Hands-on hybrid cloud experience (Azure and/or AWS)
Field operations communication skills - you can explain network concepts to non-technical operational teams
Production environment ownership mentality - comfortable with on-call, high-pressure incidents, accountability for uptime
Ability to manage competing priorities and willingness to do what's needed
Technical Expertise: Enterprise switching (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus)
Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
Firewall/VPN infrastructure
Cloud networking (Azure ExpressRoute, AWS VPCs, SD-WAN)
Wireless (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba)
Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, CloudWatch)
MPLS, DIA, Metro-E, carrier management
Preferred
Primary: Fort Worth, TX (strongly preferred)
Alternative: Denver, CO (considered for exceptional candidates)
