City of Laguna Beach is seeking a Part-Time Program Assistant to support 4-H STEM and youth agriculture programs. The role involves coordinating various youth projects and requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with children.

Responsibilities

Must possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work independently to plan their work
Must be able to work with children and youth
Will plan and implement the above programs with assistance from agents
Purchases and/or prepares supplies and/or other required materials and equipment
Creates documents, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations with Canva, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
Creates and modifies forms for office use in tracking and statistical quantifying activities

Skills in word processing and relevant computer applications/technology are required
Ability to learn youth agriculture programs and STEM material that is then taught to children
Ability to communicate effectively and work with a variety of people and programs
Ability to prioritize work and respond to clientele's needs
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Skills should also include a working knowledge of various Microsoft Office processing applications or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
Candidate must be able to pass an extensive background check
Requires the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Requires the ability to maintain body equilibrium when bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, reaching and/or stretching arms, legs or other body parts, and to physically maneuver upon varying terrain, surfaces or physical structures
In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, Bladen County will employ only those individuals who are US citizens, or legal aliens authorized to maintain employment in the United States
This position requires the ability to work during natural disaster events like hurricanes or snow storms
