Responsibilities
Respond to major incidents and drive issues to resolution
During incidents; Identify impact, track troubleshooting threads, keep leadership informed, and work with technology SMEs to drive resolution
Provide executive summaries of incidents to leadership; describing what happened, how it was resolved and how it could be prevented in the future
Represent SRE in RCAs to identify resiliency improvements, observability gaps, improved testing, and resolve single points of failure
Develop troubleshooting playbooks, dashboards, reference architecture and tools to improve MTTR for major incidents
Work with the continuous improvement organization to address complex, systemic issues within digital infrastructure to prevent future issues and drive resiliency
Provide input to SRE organization for new standards and improved SRE maturity across digital
Identifying opportunities for automation including self-healing, AIOPs, and CI/CD capabilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems preferred or related work experience
Minimum 10 years of experience across multiple technology areas
Must be able to design and develop IT solution to support firm business strategies
Must be able to solve technical challenges in critical situations that require immediate resolution
Proficient in leading IS problem solving
Establish and maintain effective relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects
Ability to stay abreast of technology and industry best practices
The capacity to quickly understand a broad range of emerging technologies and the ability to apply and exploit target technology to support firm objectives
Proficient in problem solving through root cause analysis using industry standard tools in more than one area of expertise
Presents ideas, thoughts, arguments, and information persuasively
Ensures communications occurs with all affected stakeholders, business areas, and vendors
