Responsibilities
Draft or assist in drafting of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, privilege logs, deposition summaries, position statements and responses to administrative charges
Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, nondisclosure agreements, employee handbooks and policies
Cite and fact checking, including pulling cases and documentation, Westlaw and PACER research and other research as needed
Determine and calendar deadlines
State and federal e-filing and service
Keep informed of developments, procedures and rules in the forums where we practice
Qualification
Required
7+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience as a litigation paralegal
Excellent communication skills, a drive to win, and a sense of humor
Knowledge of federal and Texas state court efiling processes and procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Westlaw, PACER and eDiscovery platforms
Vaccinated against COVID-19
Willingness to occasionally work overtime to meet deadlines after hours
Preferred
Paralegal certificate strongly preferred
