Plumbing Materials & Quality Control Manager

Hillpointe is a fully integrated real estate development and investment management firm focused on developing market-rate workforce housing across the Sun Belt. They are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Plumbing Materials & Quality Control Manager to support multifamily construction projects by ensuring plumbing installations meet quality standards, code requirements, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site plumbing quality control inspections to ensure work meets IPC, UPC, local code, and project standards
Identify installation deficiencies, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with subcontractors and project teams
Review plumbing drawings, specifications, and submittals to confirm compliance and constructability
Provide field support during inspections, rough-ins, and final walkthroughs
Serve as a code resource for project managers, superintendents, and foremen
Communicate clearly in both English and Spanish with subcontractors, inspectors, and site personnel
Monitor proper material usage, storage, and installation practices on job sites
Coordinate plumbing material procurement and delivery to support field operations as needed
Track material availability, resolve shortages, and recommend compliant alternatives
Support logistics planning while maintaining a primary focus on quality, compliance, and field execution

Required

3–5 years of experience in plumbing, construction quality control, or construction logistics with strong field exposure
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing submittals
Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Experience working directly with subcontractors and inspection authorities
Ability to manage multiple active job sites simultaneously
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Willingness to travel frequently to job sites

Preferred

Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of IPC and UPC plumbing codes; ability to interpret local amendments
Construction, plumbing, or quality control certifications are a plus
