Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization's accounting functions
Responsible for recommending and implementing internal controls, policies, and procedures
Prepare financial reports, managing department staffing, process development and documentation, and project oversight
Manage and develop the accounting team to achieve department objectives
Determine the staffing needs, setting goals, planning workloads, and resolving issues
Responsible for interviewing, selecting, coaching, and evaluating the performance of all direct reports
Promotes a constructive work environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Minimum of 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience
Demonstrated experience in supervisory roles with experience in the training and development of staff
Strong organizational, leadership, time management, and communication skills with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to complete in-depth analysis of financial data and prepare financial reports and projections
Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement
PC literacy required with MS Office (word, excel and power point)
Preferred
Experience in a health care organization preferred
CPA or CPA eligible preferred
