Responsibilities
Developing AI solutions within the Xero product ecosystem
Designing annotation guidelines and advising engineering teams on financial data taxonomies
Providing expert knowledge on financial accounting and tax tools to support machine learning initiatives
Identifying edge cases or anomalies in training sets to prevent bias or hallucinations in models
Qualification
Required
In-practice experience in tax accounting, with a solid grasp of filing and tax return preparation
A professional accreditation such as CPA, or equivalent is highly valued to underpin your technical knowledge
Deep understanding of debit and credit concepts and how they apply to day-to-day business finance
Proficiency in English for effective communication and for evaluating complex language model responses
Critical thinking skills and an audit mindset to problem-solve and ensure data integrity
Ability to work autonomously and manage deliverables efficiently within a flexible environment
