STAFF ACCOUNTANT I

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. They are seeking a Staff Accountant I to prepare financial statements, manage journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis while assisting the Financial Accounting Manager with various accounting systems.

Responsibilities

Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
Prepares journal entries to General Ledger
Prepares bank reconciliations
Prepares detailed account analysis
Analyzes fluctuations in departmental results and variances from budgets
Assists Financial Accounting Manager with maintenance of General Ledger system and reports
Assists Financial Accounting Manager with maintenance of Fixed Asset accounting system
Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication
Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Required

Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
One (1) to three (3) years of similar accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

Prepares detailed account analysis
