Field Surveyor Technician

They are seeking a Field Surveyor Technician to join their transportation team, focusing on outdoor surveying tasks and collaborating with team members to deliver project results.

Responsibilities
Assist with field and office surveying tasks
Operate and support the use of surveying equipment including robotic total stations, GPS units, and data collectors
Support construction staking, topographic, and boundary surveys
Download, organize, and manage field data, notes, and drawings
Maintain survey vehicles, equipment, and tools to ensure readiness and safety
Follow established safety procedures and work effectively in outdoor environments
Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and field representatives
Perform other duties as assigned in support of project teams
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field OR a minimum of 2 years of related field experience
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain
Preferred
Basic knowledge of surveying tools, equipment, and field procedures
Familiarity with fundamental math and surveying calculations
Exposure to AutoCAD, MicroStation, or survey data processing software (a plus, not required)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to follow direction and safety protocols
Dependable, organized, and proactive in the field
