Responsibilities
Perform structural and line design analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson, serving as a subject matter expert for modeling and analysis
Ensure quality assurance and safety compliance, adhering to SCE and site-specific standards
Design and review pole foundations for new installations and existing infrastructure evaluations
Support construction activities by coordinating with field teams, conducting inspections, and assisting with emergency restoration efforts (wildfires, storms, etc.)
Maintain and update design specifications, collaborating with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
California Civil Professional Engineer (PE) License – required
7+ years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering design
Strong knowledge of California GO95, NESC, and ASCE codes and guidelines
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and AutoCAD
Preferred
Experience with PLS-Caisson and/or SPIDAcalc
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proven ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced environment
