Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Scala backend services

Apply both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms effectively

Demonstrate deep expertise in advanced functional programming concepts , including:

Category theory

Monads, Applicatives

Type classes

Build robust applications using Scala Typelevel libraries , such as:

Cats

Shapeless

Other strongly typed and concurrency-focused libraries

Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs

Architect and implement microservices-based systems

Work extensively with multithreading and asynchronous processing

Deploy, manage, and scale backend systems using AWS services

Containerize applications using Docker and support cloud-native deployments

Ensure high code quality through clean coding practices and thorough code reviews

Implement best practices for:

Performance optimization

Error handling

Logging and monitoring

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions

Troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions

Ensure data security, compliance, and reliability across backend components
