UAV DV Program Coordinator
St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco is dedicated to breaking the cycles of homelessness and domestic violence. The UAV DV Program Coordinator will support the provision of Urgent Accommodation Vouchers for survivors of domestic violence, focusing on client referrals and maintaining relationships with hotels for temporary accommodations.

Responsibilities
Manage confidential hotel partnership(s) and/or locations that provide short-term emergency shelter for domestic violence survivors for up to a 14-day stay, in coordination with the UAV DV Case Manager and under the supervision of the Riley Center Site Supervisor
Ensure hotel sites meet appropriate standards of care, including maintaining a clean, safe, and pest-free environment in compliance with all applicable building, fire, and health codes; adequate linens and housekeeping; functional furniture, fixtures, and equipment; and secure building access
Lead outreach and community education efforts to strengthen survivor referral pathways and build partnerships with regional housing providers and community-based organizations
Conduct phone screenings and facilitate emergency hotel placements for eligible survivors in accordance with hotel availability and hours of operation, including responding to the UAV DV crisis line as assigned
Collaborate with local domestic violence service providers throughout the Bay Area to support coordinated safety planning and survivor access to services
Identify, document, and communicate facility maintenance or safety concerns to hotel management in a timely manner, including coordinating repairs, maintenance needs, and room turnover
Coordinate with the Domestic Violence Case Manager to ensure weekly room inspections are completed and documented
Participate in regular case debriefings and coordination meetings with the UAV DV Case Manager and program team
Complete all required trainings and professional development activities in a timely manner
Conduct survivor intakes and eligibility screenings in accordance with program guidelines and funder requirements
Provide regular check-ins with survivors to support a smooth transition into the program, including coordination of transportation, food, supplies, and basic needs
Complete all required documentation, data entry, and reporting to ensure compliance with UAV DV program, funder, and agency requirements
While assigned to the Community Office, support drop-in services and assist with program eligibility for screenings and referrals
Provide program coverage and operational support in the absence of the Case Manager, as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned to support program operations and survivor safety
Qualification
Required
BA degree in social services, psychology, or another related field. Equivalent work experience (1+ years hotel, hospitality, administrative, domestic violence or mental health programs), may be accepted in lieu of a degree
Verifiable completion of at least 40-hours of Domestic Violence Counselor Training meeting California state requirements or willingness to undertake and complete such training within the first 60 days of employment
Demonstrated commitment to open, direct, and non-violent communication
Ability to de-escalate crisis situations and make decisions under pressure
Understanding of the intersection of domestic violence and homelessness, especially in context to race, class, gender, and sexual identity
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision and cooperatively with staff and management
Knowledge, experience, and comfort working with a diverse community, including LGBTQI+, immigrant, low-income communities, and communities of color
Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, volunteers, and staff
Ability to implement all relevant confidentiality protections regarding service provision for domestic violence survivors
Ability to strictly adhere to Riley Center policies and procedures
Above average proficiency to read, write and speak English
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in using MS Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, and Excel), reporting skills including database entry
Working knowledge and familiarity with San Francisco and its resources
