They are seeking a Staff Accountant I who will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and providing detailed account analysis under the direction of the Financial Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities
Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
Prepares journal entries to General Ledger
Prepares bank reconciliations
Prepares detailed account analysis
Analyzes fluctuations in departmental results and variances from budgets
Assists Financial Accounting Manager with maintenance of General Ledger system and reports
Assists Financial Accounting Manager with maintenance of Fixed Asset accounting system
Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication
Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times
Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
One (1) to three (3) years of similar accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended
Background checks may include, but are not limited to: Credit Check, Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen
Preferred
