Responsibilities

Advise and assist high-level decision-makers, including Commissioners, Judges, and Energy Division management
Serve as a team leader and project coordinator on energy storage policy, procurement, and markets
Support distribution resource planning and DER procurement efforts
Conduct original research, produce staff proposals, and make policy recommendations based on independent analysis of regulatory, market, policy, and technical issues
Develop recommendations for the CPUC’s policy-setting rulemakings
Review and provide feedback on proposed legislation
Manage technical contractors and oversee the implementation of programs resulting from CPUC and legislative processes

Required

Experience researching and analyzing complex energy policy issues, including technical, economic, and financial aspects
Ability to synthesize complex information to evaluate policy effectiveness and inform decisions
Experience communicating complex findings to decision-makers, stakeholders, or the public through written reports, white papers, and presentations
Ability to ensure communication is clear, persuasive, and tailored to the audience
Experience managing complex technical projects, including coordinating teams, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work products
Ability to ensure timely production of deliverables while maintaining project goals and standards
Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date
Must submit a copy of your transcript or diploma if using education to meet minimum qualifications
Must obtain and submit verification of United States course/degree equivalency if education was completed outside the United States
