Continuous Improvement Black Belt / Program Management Leader

Component Sourcing International (CSI) is a global parts sourcing partner supporting industrial manufacturing customers. They are seeking a Director of Continuous Improvement to lead their CI program, strategy deployment framework, and enterprise project execution discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead complex, cross-functional improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
Apply DMAIC, Kaizen, value stream analysis, and root cause methodologies to improve: Supplier performance and cost, Lead time and delivery reliability, Quality and first-pass yield, Working capital and inventory efficiency
Deliver quantifiable business results (cost, margin, cash, service, risk reduction)
Ensure improvements are standardized, documented, and sustained
Own CSI’s enterprise CI and transformation project portfolio, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives
Establish and maintain: Project intake and prioritization processes, Clear charters, success metrics, and benefits tracking, Portfolio-level reporting and executive visibility
Actively manage interdependencies, risks, and capacity across the portfolio
Drive disciplined execution cadence (reviews, tollgates, escalation, and course correction)
Coach functional leaders, project sponsors, and Green Belts in: Structured problem solving, Project leadership and execution discipline, Data-driven decision making
Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, helping translate strategy into executable initiatives
Build a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
Support the development of CSI’s internal CI capability over time
Provide clear, concise communication to senior leadership on: Project status and risks, Financial and operational benefits, Portfolio health and execution maturity
Ensure governance processes are practical, value-adding, and fit-for-purpose
Act as a steward of CI standards, tools, and best practices across CSI

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
7+ years of experience leading cross-functional improvement or transformation initiatives
Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes through structured CI projects
Experience leading projects across multiple functions (operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, commercial)
Strong program and project management skills, including portfolio-level oversight
Ability to influence without authority and work effectively across all organizational levels

Preferred

Master Black Belt certification or advanced CI leadership experience
Experience in manufacturing, engineered products, industrial supply chain, or global sourcing environments
Experience building or maturing CI / PMO / transformation governance frameworks
Familiarity with executive-level reporting and board-facing communications
Experience coaching and developing Green Belts or project leaders
