Supervised Visitation Program Manager
Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing and promoting constructive approaches to conflict. The Supervised Visitation Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the program that facilitates safe visitation for non-residential parents and their children, managing inquiries, conducting intakes, and supervising staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities
Oversee, maintain and develop the program
Develop and refine program policies and procedures, upholding stringent safety protocols at all times
Ensure appropriate program evaluation, data collection, and grant reporting
Coordinate and collaborate with program partners & participate in stakeholder and partner meetings
Ensure adherence to program standards and safety protocols, staying up-to-date on emerging best practices
Supervise the program staff
Perform administrative duties (including but not limited to phone, e-mail, filing, word processing)
Act as first point of contact for all program inquiries
Conduct initial in-person intake for families
Review and uphold court orders
Communicate with parents, guardians, attorneys, and guardians ad litem
Screen for safety issues, program eligibility, and ability to successfully participate
Share relevant information with program staff
Ensure successful implementation of weekly schedule of visits, monitoring activities and client needs
Supervise some visits on a weekly and fill-in basis as necessary
Oversee recruitment, training, and successful management of volunteer visit supervisors
Participate in staff meetings, WDRC and community events, and other meetings as requested
Assist with fundraising opportunities to support program growth
Collaborate with staff to promote the program

Qualification
Required
At least 3–5 years of experience managing social services, community programs, or family-centered support
Demonstrated ability to evaluate safety concerns, manage high-conflict situations, and maintain firm and compassionate boundaries in a professional manner
Proven experience supervising staff or leading teams of volunteers and highly organized in tracking and tending to a large volume of detailed information and responsibilities
A deep understanding of the impact of trauma on children and families, and the ability to apply this lens to program management
Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to a variety of settings such as drafting case summaries or grant reports, presenting publicly, and engaging with families from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, diverse stakeholders and community partners and to work independently with a high level of self-motivation and accountability
Ability to adapt to dynamic circumstances, process detailed information, often from people demonstrating emotionally escalated behaviors, and act neutrally and non-judgmentally
Comfortable using digital tools—such as email, shared calendars, data entry systems, and video conferencing platforms
Must have a reliable vehicle for travelling to and from visit location as it may be necessary to provide unplanned, time-sensitive support at the visit location
Preferred
We highly value candidates with personal or community-based experience navigating the legal or social service systems, as this provides a vital perspective to our work
Experience working with restorative justice, mediation, or conflict resolution frameworks
Fluency in a second language or experience working with historically underserved populations is a significant asset
A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is welcomed, but not required if the applicant demonstrates equivalent mastery through relevant professional or life experience
