They are seeking a Data Transformation / Azure Fabric Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions within a healthcare environment, focusing on data governance and advanced analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize data transformation pipelines using Azure Fabric
Migrate Synapse pipelines to Fabric
Implement data mesh concepts to enable decentralized data ownership and interoperability across domains
Ensure data governance practices are applied, including security, compliance, and quality standards
Work with healthcare data sets, including eligibility, claims, and clinical data, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified architecture
Monitor and troubleshoot batch processes and real-time data flows for performance and reliability
Experience leveraging AI technologies and building data agents to enhance data workflows and automation is a strong plus

Required

You must be a US Citizen to be considered for this role
Strong experience with Azure Fabric, Azure Synapse, and related Azure data services
Proficiency in data transformation, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning
Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) and eligibility workflows
Hands-on experience with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
Familiarity with data mesh principles and distributed data architecture
Strong SQL and scripting skills; experience with Python or Spark is a plus

Preferred

Background in healthcare analytics or payer/provider data systems
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions
Understanding of cloud security best practices and identity management
