The role involves turning raw creator footage into engaging video content tailored for various platforms, ensuring high-quality edits and maintaining organization throughout the editing process.

Responsibilities
Cut creator content into platform-native shorts, mid-forms, and ads
Build variants from a single shoot: hook swaps, pace changes, captions on/off, CTA tests
Package edits for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and paid—correct ratios, lengths, and safe zones
Create audio, clean dialogue, balance music, and mix for mobile first
Apply light motion design, supers, arrows, and callouts that feel native, not superflous
QC for claims and brand safety with the Brand Narrative partner before anything ships
Keep naming/version control tight so reads and recuts are fast and traceable
Pull selects, tag assets, and maintain libraries in Frame.io so anyone can find anything
Turn creator wins into reusable templates and edit packs the team can spin up quickly
Cut sizzles for tentpoles, live moments, and product drops; turn recaps within 24 hours
Collaborate with the Performance Creative Strategist on hypothesis-driven variants
Hand off clean files for whitelisting/boosting with timecodes and asset logs
Shoot simple pickup content in-office or on-location when helpful (bonus)
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years editing social-first video for consumer brands or creators
A reel with TikTok/Reels/Shorts that shows hook, hold, and finish that converts
On-platform instincts for pacing, structure, and when to land the CTA
Strong command of captions, typography, and legible mobile design
Clean file habits: bins, labels, versions, exports, and backups that never get messy
Comfort working shoulder-to-shoulder with strategists, creators, and legal in-office
Preferred
Shoot simple pickup content in-office or on-location when helpful (bonus)
Have three hook options for every cut and can swap them in minutes
Can turn a 60-minute podcast into five shorts by end of day
Love a tidy timeline and hate mystery files
Fix janky audio and crooked phone video without drama
Deliver on time, then deliver one extra option we didn't ask for
Experience with Premiere Pro or Final Cut; CapCut and Descript for speed
Experience with After Effects for light motion work
Familiarity with Frame.io for review and version control
Experience with Whisper/Auto-caption tools for fast transcripts
Familiarity with Google Drive, Notion, Sheets for asset maps and trackers
Experience with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube upload tools and previews
Familiarity with AI: Midjourney and other software
