Responsibilities

Investigate physical damage claims

Virtually inspect vehicles to assess damage caused by losses

Create detailed, itemized repair estimates and cost reports

Use estimation software (like CCC ONE, Mitchell, and Audatex) to calculate parts, labor, and material costs

Determine whether OEM or alternative parts should be used

Negotiate repair pricing and techniques with shops and customers

Determine total loss eligibility and salvage values

Document claim activity and communicate estimates clearly to repair shops and customers

Settle physical damage claims within limits

Stay up to date on industry standards, vehicle repair technologies, and insurance regulations
