Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ. This role requires strong Java, multithreading, and Kafka integration skills while developing microservices and working with MongoDB/SQL for data handling.

Responsibilities

Develop high‑performance backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot with strong focus on multithreading and REST API development
Build and maintain Spring Boot microservices that process messages into Kafka clusters and support real‑time data flows
Design and integrate APIs using Swagger and manage data persistence across MongoDB and SQL Server databases
Utilize GitHub, Docker, and JUnit for version control, containerization, and automated testing to ensure code quality and reliability
Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprints, code reviews, and continuous integration activities
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, ensuring scalability and efficient communication between services

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Experience working with MongoDB, SQL Server, Docker, GitHub, and JUnit within Agile development environments
