Responsibilities

Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continued system operability
Install, update, configure, and troubleshoot systems and servers
Monitor and maintain system and server configurations
Manage user accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment
Maintain baseline system security in accordance with organizational policies
Execute and verify data backups, redundancy, and system recovery procedures
Monitor system and server resources, including performance, availability, and capacity
Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability issues
Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware
Comply with established systems administration standard operating procedures
Support enforcement of local network usage policies and procedures

Required

Experience administering Linux-based systems in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience with system installation, patching, and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of user account management, permissions, and access control
Understanding of baseline security practices and ability to apply organizational security policies
Experience executing backup and recovery procedures
Ability to monitor and respond to system performance and availability issues
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow documented technical procedures and standards
Effective oral and written communication skills
Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
Ability to obtain DoD IAT Level II certification within 6 months of start date

Preferred

Experience administering Linux systems
Familiarity with virtualized environments
Active DoD IAT Level II certification
Experience troubleshooting hardware, networking and operating system issues
Prior experience working in secure or DoD-regulated environments
Demonstrated customer service mindset and ability to work collaboratively within a team
