Learning & Development Trainer

Responsibilities

Work closely with the AVP of Learning & Development and L&D manager to ensure training programs are developed, customized, approved, maintained, documented, and delivered as needed
Facilitate engaging training programs using classroom, virtual, and blended learning formats based on employee needs
Create interactive, motivating learning experiences that support strong on-the-job performance
Prepare for training delivery by reviewing course materials, testing systems and scenarios, building course schedules, and creating hands-on practice activities
Schedule, conduct, and facilitate training programs and workshops including (but not limited to):
New Hire Training / Onboarding support
Member Relationship Advisor (MRA) training
Lending training
Professional Development Trainings
Training developed internally for departments and stakeholders
Develop, customize, and maintain training support materials, job aids, quick reference guides, and visual tools
Ensure training materials are accurate, updated, and professionally formatted (spelling, clarity, completeness, and consistency)
Support the design and enhancement of training modules and learning resources in collaboration with other trainers and internal partners
Maintain strong working knowledge of frontline operations, products, services, and systems to support employee learning and consistent practices
Provide training reinforcement and support for branches and departments through targeted coaching, follow-up, and refresher training sessions
Ensure all branches are supported with dedicated monthly training sessions focused on specific learning needs or trends identified in each branch
Serve as a quality internal support partner and training resource for employees across the Credit Union
Evaluate training effectiveness using skills practice, simulations, feedback, and participant evaluations
Recommend improvements based on observed learning needs, results, and discussions with L&D leadership
Assist with quarterly meetings as assigned and support follow-up documentation when needed
Participate in special department projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Learning & Development leadership team

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required
Minimum two years frontline member service experience required
Knowledge of Credit Union policies and previous Team Leader experience desired
Must possess strong communication skills, service orientation and willingness to guide utilizing core values standard
Highly self-motivated and driven to complete assigned work, and proactively seek out new work that needs to be done
PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS)
Ability to use a Learning Management System (LMS) as a content repository, tracking, and learning vehicle for employees
Ability to create and deliver clear, concise, and effective presentations to include PowerPoint
Proficient with presenting in a TEAMs environment and ability to use a Learner Management System
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to function in a credit union environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to fax, copier, telephone
Ability to lift minimum 25 lbs. (i.e. coin bags & trays)
Some travel required
Ability to safely and timely transport to credit union branches and back, and to trainings, conferences, seminars, and employer events as needed

Preferred

AA degree or some college coursework preferred
Prior training experience preferred
