Field Engineer - Commercial

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Field Engineer to work in the Commercial Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful completion of field tasks as assigned by the Project Superintendent and Craft Foreman.

Responsibilities

Assist Foreman with structure layout
Field purchase orders
Engineering duties as assigned for assistance in planning construction
Maintain and update project logs and schedules
Identify need for Requests for Information (RFIs)
Prepare, review and process shop drawings
Maintain as-built drawings
Collect and assemble O&M material
Perform subcontract scope analysis
Assist with purchasing and expediting
Document distribution
Meeting minutes and distribution
Scheduling

Qualification

Surveying/layoutTechnical writingCivil EngineeringMechanical EngineeringConstruction ManagementCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Surveying/layout, technical writing
