Responsibilities
Manage employment cases focused on discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and whistleblower claims
Apply Smith Law’s methodology to move cases forward relentlessly — the train never stops until trial or settlement
Send demand letters within 10 days of retention, file complaints within weeks, and drive discovery, depositions, and mediation without delay
Handle both client-facing and internal case responsibilities, maintaining strong communication and organization throughout
Collaborate with team members to identify leverage points and move each case toward optimal resolution
Refine processes only after mastering existing systems and demonstrating consistent results
Qualification
Required
Active California Bar license
Proven ability to manage employment cases independently from intake through resolution
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
Years of experience are flexible; discipline, ownership, and results matter most
Preferred
California experience preferred; exceptional recent LLMs or attorneys with prior international practice may be considered if they demonstrate excellence, maturity, and adaptability
