Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing and Production Manager to develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and objectives

Lead initiatives to cultivate a safety-first culture, prioritizing employee health and safety

Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations, including adherence to IDEM and federal regulations behind the site's applicable environmental programs which are: Industrial Stormwater Management, Hazardous Waste Management, Industrial Discharge (wastewater), Air Monitoring (Title V) and Chemical Storage

Maintain comprehensive records for audits and regulatory reporting, including OSHA and environmental requirements

Drive continuous improvement of EHS policies and training programs to optimize safety performance and regulatory compliance

Stay up to date with EHS trends, policies, regulations, and industry’s best practices

Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for new hires and existing staff, including emergency procedures and workplace safety

Lead safety meetings, routine audits, and accident investigations, providing actionable insights for improvement

Maintain positive relationships with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies to foster a proactive safety environment

Ensure accurate data management and reporting for audits, investigations, and regulatory compliance
