Start in 2026 SpringGenentech is a leading biotechnology company focused on drug discovery and development. They are seeking a motivated intern to establish a platform for generating stable cell lines to enhance cell-based peptide discovery capabilities.

Responsibilities
Lead the setup of a stable cell lines system to create single-copy, isogenic stable cell lines
Design and clone Genes of Interest (GOI) into specialized expression constructs and develop protocols for managing plasmid stocks
Execute stable cell line generation workflows, including transfection and antibiotic selection
Evaluate protein expression and target binding using Western blot, Flow Cytometry (FACS), and imaging
Optimize methods for the expression of complex protein assemblies, such as heterodimeric constructs
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and present final project results to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
Required Majors: Cell biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Structural Biology, Bioengineering, or a related discipline
Proficiency in cell biology, molecular biology (PCR/cloning), and biochemical and/or cell-based assays
A strong background in mammalian cell culture, protein expression and characterization and lab-based skills
Preferred
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
