Responsibilities
Conduct and document infection control surveillance activities
Collect and perform statistical analysis of hospital onset infection data
Generate reports, identify trends, evaluate activities and make recommendations to improve results
Collaborate with infection control committee to develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
Coordinate committee meetings and activities to ensure policy compliance
Collaborate with Infection Prevention Managers to coordinate infection prevention activities
Participate in environmental safety rounds
Coordinate the annual review, revision and evaluation of the organization's Infection Control Plan
Monitor compliance. Conduct education and documents completed education
Serve as infection control resource
Collaborate with external review and reporting agencies
Comply with agency standards and participate in survey readiness activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related healthcare field with strong clinical background in acute care and ambulatory care setting
Certification by Association for Professional in Infection Control (CIC) within one year of hire
Five years Healthcare experience in a hospital setting
Three years Infection Prevention experience in a hospital setting
Preferred
Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
