Responsibilities

Record and reconcile all mortgage loan transactions including funding, sales, servicing transfers, payoffs, and investor remittances

Maintain accurate loan-level accounting in the general ledger and sub-ledger systems

Review and reconcile loan balances, escrows, advances, and investor accounts on a monthly basis

Ensure appropriate recognition of loan origination fees, premiums/discounts, and servicing assets or liabilities in accordance with GAAP

Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Prepare loan portfolio reports, pipeline summaries, and gain/loss analyses for management and external auditors

Support preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to mortgage loans and servicing rights

Collaborate with Loan Operations, Secondary Marketing, and Servicing to resolve loan-level discrepancies

Ensure compliance with investor, regulatory, and company accounting policies

Assist with audit requests and examinations (internal, external, and regulatory)

Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives
