Responsibilities

Build LLM-powered features (chat, search, summarization, extraction, classification) integrated into web/mobile products
Implement RAG pipelines : chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, citation strategies, and grounding
Design and maintain prompting strategies and system prompts with robust guardrails
Build evaluation frameworks: offline tests, LLM-as-judge, golden datasets, regression tests , and quality dashboards
Improve performance and cost: caching, batching, streaming responses, model selection, and prompt optimization
Ship production APIs/services: authentication, rate limiting, observability, and incident-ready runbooks
Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, user flows, and success metrics

Required

Strong backend engineering skills with Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js
Hands-on experience delivering LLM applications in production (not just demos)
Practical experience with RAG and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, pgvector)
Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain / LlamaIndex (or equivalent custom pipelines)
Experience working with major model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) and understanding tradeoffs
Solid software engineering fundamentals: APIs, data structures, testing, code reviews, and deployment
Comfort with cloud + infrastructure basics (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, CI/CD

Preferred

Agentic systems: tool/function calling, workflow orchestration, planning, memory patterns
Experience with LLMOps: model monitoring, drift/quality tracking, prompt versioning, eval automation
Knowledge of security & compliance for AI systems (PII handling, data retention, SOC2 concepts)
Experience with streaming (SSE/WebSockets), search (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch), or document parsing/OCR
Familiarity with data pipelines (dbt/Airflow) and analytics for measuring product impact
