Responsibilities

Execute high-throughput, scale-down robotic purification studies supporting early- and late-stage process development, viral clearance, process characterization, and continuous improvement

Develop economical and robust purification strategies using chromatography, filtration, and related separation techniques

Perform laboratory-scale downstream purification process development and characterization for transfer to manufacturing

Conduct bioanalytical assays such as high-performance liquid chromatography, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis

Perform data acquisition, analysis, and documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks

Communicate experimental procedures, results, and conclusions through clear written and verbal communication

Provide technical support for pilot-scale and good manufacturing practice manufacturing activities as needed

Evaluate and support new technologies and innovations for purification process development

Qualification

Chromatography techniquesFiltration techniquesBioanalytical assaysData analysisCommunication skills

Required

Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with zero to two years of relevant experience

Or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with four to six years of relevant experience

Strong scientific foundation in biological and biochemical principles

Hands-on experience with chromatography and filtration techniques for biologics purification

Experience performing bioanalytical assays and related analytical methods

Strong written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills

Preferred

Internship or corporate experience in a biologics or biopharmaceutical laboratory setting

Additional hands-on laboratory experience supporting protein purification or protein chemistry workflows
