Director of Benefits
LHH is a company in the Financial and Banking industry, seeking a Director of Benefits & Wellness to oversee health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs for a large employee population. The role involves leading a benefits team, managing vendor partnerships, and driving strategic initiatives while ensuring compliance and enhancing employee communication.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all benefits, wellness, retirement, and leave programs
Oversee vendor partnerships, plan design, renewals, compliance, audits, and communications
Drive strategic initiatives including self‑funding transition (target 2027)
Lead annual open enrollment, process improvements, and change management
Enhance benefits communication and employee understanding
Ensure regulatory compliance, reporting, filings, plan documentation, and cost control
Provide coaching, development, and leadership to a high‑performing team
Participate in leadership strategy, retirement committee involvement, and executive planning
Qualification
Required
10+ years in health & welfare benefits administration, including 401(k) programs for 1,000+ employees
Strong self‑funding experience —ideally having led a transition
Experience with large‑scale workforces (2,000+ employees)
HRIS implementation experience; Workday strongly preferred
Strong process improvement, auditing, and vendor management skills
Comfortable taking calculated risks and driving change
Enjoys onsite presence and building face‑to‑face relationships

7+ years people leadership
Degree or certifications (CEBS, SPHR, CCP) are a plus
