Assistant Director of Educational Programs

YMCA of Indiana County is dedicated to youth development and community support, and they are seeking an Assistant Director of Educational Programs. This role is responsible for the supervision and management of youth educational programs, ensuring children's social, physical, and educational development while promoting the YMCA's core values.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, and implement programs in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA
Supervise, evaluate, and maintain records of staff
Responsible for the safety of children while they are in our care
Ensure necessary documentation of programs and activities
Recruit new participants
Establish and maintain relationships with licensing and other partner representatives
Promote good personal relationships among children, staff, and parents
Attends staff meetings designated by Associate Executive Director and Director of Youth and Family Programs
Ensure all training programs meet education requirements established by PA DHS and PA Keystone Stars
Responsible for the appearance and upkeep of all assigned spaces, supplies, and equipment
Support the program and goals of the YMCA
Other duties as directed by the Director of Youth and Family

Required

A four-year or associate degree in education
Strong communication skills
Good judgement
Aptitude for working with others in a patient professional manner
Skills in planning and managing a budget
Previous experience developing curriculum
Maintaining records
Experience using Microsoft Office
FBI Fingerprint (Department of Human Services)
State Police PATCH
Child Abuse clearance
NSOR (National Sex Offender Registry Certificate from Department of Human Services)
DHS required training (10 hours)
Pediatric First Aid/CPR
Mandated Reporter training
Disclosure Statement
Staff Health Assessment less than 12 months old
Negative TB test documentation less than 12 months
