Responsibilities
Work with teams across Client to investigate cases chosen by the Oversight Board and identify potential cases to refer to the Board Understand and articulate how Client values and policies apply to these cases, verbally and in writing
Manage day-to-day case operations, including tracking case milestones and deadlines
Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams such as Public Policy, Governance, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Communications, Marketing, Partnerships, and Legal
Provide feedback to operational, policy, and other Client teams to implement recommendations from the Oversight Board Act as a global escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues
This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and/or objectionable content including but not limited to graphic images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing
Qualification
Required
5+ years of work experience in law, government, or public policy
Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to draft persuasive written materials
Ability to work with potentially graphic and objectionable content
Bachelor's Degree
Graduate degree in Law
3-5+ Years of experience needed
The candidate will be expected to occasionally work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends
Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferably from prior legal experience), including demonstrated ability to draft persuasive written materials
Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience in or with the technology industry, including social media content issues
Experience investigating and working on complex legal cases or policy issues
Experience working with civil rights or human rights topics, including freedom of expression
Experience working with and presenting to professionally diverse teams and audiences
Preferred
Graduate degree in Law
