New Grad, Entry LevelSt. Mary's Health Care System is looking for an experienced and compassionate Unit Secretary to work within the Emergency department. The Unit Secretary will facilitate communication with patients, staff, and physicians, maintain patient charts, and ensure a safe and orderly environment.

Responsibilities
The Unit Secretary supports the assigned unit by facilitating communication with patients, staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments
The Unit Secretary directs incoming calls and responds to patient calls
The Unit Secretary enters physician’s orders in the Information System
The Unit Secretary maintains patient’s charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels
The Unit Secretary is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment
Qualification
Required
BLS, thru American Heart Association, required at time of hire
Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent
Preferred
Hospital or Clinical experience preferred
