Responsibilities

Ensure that clinical documents are scanned and/or uploaded to the patient Medical Record within 48 hours of receipt
Safeguard patient records and meet compliance and HIPAA Standards
Manage documents to ensure that records and Medical Record numbers are maintained in its original conditions
Answer and transfer incoming calls
Greet and assist with disclosing patient medical records to requestors
Assist with data entry, filing, and retrieval of patient paper medical records

Required

High School Diploma (Or) GED-High School Equivalency
Four (4) years of experience in Medical Records or Related healthcare area
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports
MS Word, P.C., Dictation/Transcription proficiency
Analytical, Medical Terms, Statistical knowledge/skills/abilities

Preferred

Reg Health Information Technician or RHIA certification
Bilingual skills
